Other Ways to Celebrate
125th Anniversary Book
The Museum's original mission included the phrase "...and in every way possible to encourage the study and love of art among the people." Part of this statement is now the title of a new book called Every Way Possible celebrating 125 years of IMA history. The book, by authors Anne P. Robinson and S.L. Berry, was released in October 2008 and is available for purchase online.
Art Unveiling
Catch sight of a three-story fluorescent light installation by Robert Irwin entitled Light and Space III, specifically designed for the Museum's main 60-foot atrium Pulliam Great Hall. Unveiled as a commission in honor of the Indianapolis Museum of Art’s 125th anniversary in October, the work is the IMA's newest and largest addition to its fast-growing contemporary art program.
