General Admission

To purchase general admission tickets online before your visit, select a day from the calendar below. Tickets can also be purchased onsite at the Guest Services Desk upon your arrival to the Museum.

Certain areas of the IMA campus are free, including The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres, the IMA Café, Museum Store, and LOVE and Five Brushstrokes sculptures.

Adults: $18
Ages 5 & under: FREE
Youth ages 6-17: $10
Access Pass $1
Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Students attending Butler University, CTS, IUPUI, Marian University, Martin University, and University of Indianapolis may receive a free IMA annual membership. Students may apply at our Guest Services desk and must have a valid e-mail address and show proof of enrollment.

Access Pass

We are proud to be a of the Access Pass program. Families that meet the requirements can visit The Indianapolis Museum of Art and all participating locations for just $1 per family member per visit, for up to two adults and dependent youth living in the household. Visit our Access Pass page to learn more about this program that makes cultural attractions more available to Indiana families.

Blue Star Museum

The IMA is a Blue Star Museum and offers free admission to U.S. Active military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day,

Free Admission Dates & Times

Free general admission is offered the first Thursday of each month from 4-9 p.m.

Community Days
During Community Days at the IMA, guests receive free admission in exchange for a donation to the event's community partner.
