Geology
IMA staff partnered with scientists from the US Geological Survey (USGS) to study the connections between the landscape of 100 Acres: The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park and the White River which forms the majority of the Park's border. What we have learned about this relationship allows us to understand how the landscape has changed and may change over time, how flooding affects the Art & Nature Park, how to estimate when flooding might occur using sensor data, and how our use of the land affects the river.
