In Baluchi tradition, peacocks, roosters, cockscombs and crest motifs symbolize glory, authority and victory and protect the home from evil. Five rows of stylized peacocks fill the central panel of this saddle bag. The central peacock is rendered in white, possibly distinguishing it as the leader of the flock.
