The current title is tentative since the figures have not been conclusively identified. Each of the panels bears the seals of Kano Sanraku, pupil and adopted son of the great Kano Eitoku. Considered the greatest Kano painter after Eitoku, Sanraku bridges the transition from the Momoyama to Edo periods.
