Inspired by historic clothing, Moschino incorporated the corset, an element of dress since medieval times, in this blouse. With its sheer black pouf sleeves, square neckline, and crest on the front, this blouse is an apparent reference to the clothing of the European Renaissance.

Moschino’s sense of humor is evident in his mocking of the corset’s rigidity and the “family crest” on the front, which depicts popular icons: a smiley face, a star, a heart, and black-and-white stripes.
