This garment, a great example of Alaïa’s precise tailoring and immaculate construction, has a fluid drape when placed on the body. The “mermaid” silhouette demonstrates Alaïa’s interest in representation of the ideal female form in figure-revealing stretchy, clinging knit fabrics.
