Extreme silhouettes are Mugler’s signature. The corseted bodice, cinched-in waist, and the short skirt of this glamorous dress exhibit Mugler’s fascination with the hour-glass figure. The short peplum, a reference to 19th-century clothing, further emphasizes the small waist.
This dress, with its pointed sections projecting from the low neckline is the ultimate in “power-dressing” and represents Mugler's ideal of a sexy, modern, and powerful woman.
