Mugler’s interest in the hour-glass figure is exemplified in the silhouettes of his creations. However, instead of using heavy corsetry common in the couture dresses of the 1950s, he employed heavy fabrics that hold their form and structure. His mastery of cut and construction result in sculptural creations that exude confidence and sexiness.
