The most dramatic of Halston's draped dresses were inspired by Grecian togas. He used drawstrings to create deep shirrs and folds in the fabric.

The bodice of this dress is constructed of one piece of fabric that is wrapped around the back, gathered in front, and stitched down, creating a multitude of folds. The full, sheer skirt is worn over attached panties.
