市川家橘 as Ishidome Busuke 石どめ武助and Arashi Kichiroku 嵐吉六 as Sagihira さぎ平

In 1634, the master swordsman Araki Mataemon and his nephew Watanabe Kazuma cut down Kawai Matagorō, who murdered Kazuma's father. Ishidome Busuke, Mataemon's follower, died in the fight. Tales of the incident rank with the Soga Brothers' Revenge and that of the 47 Rōnin as Japan's three greatest stories of righteous vengeance.
