Series: Eight Dog Warriors (Hakkenshi) 八犬士

Inuzuka Shino is one of eight warriors who bear "inu" (dog) in their names in The Tale of the Eight Dog Warriors of Satomi, a widely praised epic of historical-fantastical fiction in 106 volumes written between 1814 and 1842 by Takizawa Bakin (1767-1848). Films and anime of the tale are still popular today.
