雉に枝垂桜図

Koson was the foremost designer of bird-and-flower prints (kachō-e) from 1900 on. The American Ernest Fenollosa (1853-1908) persuaded Koson to send his prints to the United States, and much of his work was for export. Eventually his prints also found favor in Japan.
