The wide border of this shawl has a design based on Islamic architecture: arches (mihrabs) that enclose a variety of plant forms and flowers. This is the only shawl with a cream center in the collection, and it incorporates heart-shaped motifs in the design, which is highly unusual. The densely woven vertical borders contain an interesting design of five overlapping botehs (paisleys), which match the horizontal border above the multicolored tab (harlequin) border.
