This rare and beautiful weaving is composed almost entirely of borders in various flat-weave techniques. The ivory central panel in camel hair, which is decorated with a stepped diamond, once contained an inscription and a date that have been almost entirely worn away.
This elegant piece was woven for an important even, such as a wedding or as part of a dowry.
