This sari measures more than 16 feet in length and is shown here with a short blouse.

Its iridescent blue-green (peacock) color is achieved by overlapping two different color threads. The warp yarns are purple and the weft yarns are green. This combination reflects the light differently, hence creating an iridescent effect.

There are many ways of tying and draping a sari depending on the length and the ethnicity of the wearer. This sari is wrapped following the northern Indian style.
