I'm with you on Franklin Gothic--it's easy on the eyes (literally and figuratively). You can even use it for body copy. You should try it sometime coupled with Caslon. You won't be sorry. A few years ago I learned that if I ever wanted to get anything written, I'd better have four or five go-to fonts that I can choose without having to think much, or I'd get so lost in font selection that I'd run out of time to do the rest of the work.
