Keisha, I wish I could help you, but I do not know of any reproductions of Gamin. I have only seen originals in plaster that are offered by dealers and auctions from time to time, but these are very costly.

Keep up the good work in adding African American artists/Art work to the collection-All Museums need to include artwork from the community they serve and/or should be serving. Well done.

I saw this article this morning on the Indy Star website and thought it was relevant to the on-going discussion about arts funding in Indy.

Hi Indy Arts.
Thank you for your comment. I can assure you that those of us at the Indianapolis Museum of Art are deeply concerned about funding for the arts, and we currently are reaching out to the people who make these decisions. If you have concerns about this issue that you'd like to discuss with me, please feel free to email me at kzarich@imamuseum.org.

This is an interesting post, as was the Thornton Dial post. But why when the entire local arts community is weighing in on the cutting of public monies for the arts does the IMA remain so insular? Ahhhh... wish I had a gazillion dollar endowment.
