Samantha, I've enjoyed your observations here. Earlier I mentioned to one of your colleagues at IMA, Despi, my thoughts on Isamu Noguchi's pivotal developmental years living in Indiana as a typical high school student, graduating from LaPorte HS in 1922. His impressions of being a Hoosier schoolboy have been largely ignored until now. The NoguchiBlog, http://web.mac.com/gralston/NOGUCHI/NoguchiBlog/NoguchiBlog.html, has extensive references about this time he spent here, including his feelings and the lives he touched. Your experiences at IMA and at Indiana University could provide a unique, thought-provoking context for examining some of these issues further.

I would just like to add that this was an "educational fieldtrip." We studied the marketing and design of MUG n' BUN over our dogs and fries. Nicely done.

We'll miss you Sam!
