This is a movie about communicating, about caring and above all - love. It is in groups where we see violence and cowardness -unlike this great movie that bring's us all hope in the future . We are hyped with movies such as the departed with too many stars - too much violence and over the top garbage that does not say much for u.s. flicks. It just seems that the U.S. with it's weapons of destruction can't seem to adopt the principle "live and let live".This movie is just the opposite and brings me hope that the states will shift from a kill mode to a more peaceful, a more educated and caring society.

I just wanted to say that Connie is very excited about appearing at your great museum tomorrow. I, of course, will be right there beside her -- and very proud!

This has been a difficult ordeal for the both of us. But Erin Gruwell said something when she testified on Connie's behalf during her Board hearing last March that has stuck with me. She told the board: "something bigger is happening here. There will be good that will become of this." At the time she said it, I thought she was being much too optimistic. Now I'm beginning to understand what she meant...

See you all tomorrow!
