Hi
I am not much of a blogger, in fact, this is my first ever. Somehow it feels more natural to be having this conversation over a glass of wine. And I realize I can't type as fast as I talk, or as I think.
In any case. I find your project fascinating and challenging, as it strives to be art but also to find meaning beyond art - or at least beyond the narrow conventions that most people use to define it.
I find it courageous that you are exposing your process through this blog. My own preference as an artist is to keep the dirty laundry out of sight in the studio,or in the loops of my internal monologue.
So, a question for you two: do the ideas of Relational Esthetics play any part in your thoughts for this project? Do you see this "gesture" that you are proposing as something related to someone like Tino Seghal?
You don't necessarily have to answer, but this thoughts crossed my mind as I was reading your postings.
Keep up with the good work!
your friend

After reading your posts I began thinking about the sculpture (tower) and the effect of time on the structure and whether that can become symbolic of the way experiential education/team building events can affect the psychological. More importantly, how the mental changes affected by the event begins to either decay with time or become integrated into the mental structure? Uh, back to being too heady? What was that about trolling?
