My only complaint about the IMA's movies is for years they had the most boring flicks. Movies that no one is going to pay to go out to see. I though many on last years list were much better choices.

Last year we went early to Rocky Horror PS at the IMA and it was already sold out with about 100 people milling around that COULDN'T get in. There is no place in Indy that shows that now, and they could show that every Friday all summer and it would sell out every time. I hope that IMA realizes this when considering the movies. I think they could also have an early show, and show RHPS as a midnight movie like it has been traditionally been shown for over 20 years. I am not sure what the IMA's goal is with showing movies, are they trying to make money, get people in the door, or increase membership? I think the audience for RHPS is perfect demographic.

I think IMA should show nothing but classic films. Cult classics are different but to have Field of Dreams up against Hard Days Night is just silly...and The French Connection VS Fight Club? What is that? Fight Club is on cable almost every other day...

Most of these films you can rent, buy or see on cable...why would I pay a cable bill and go out to see something I just paid to see at home?! I think idea should be to see classic films, award winners that are never likely to be shown in this type of venue so that more are exposed to film history and film as an art form. It is an art museum...

A silent film series would be brilliant - or a run of classic Oscar winners. I know many who would buy a membership for that alone. Me included.
