Not quite as dramatic as the helicopter, but still good: don't forget the IMA's video of moving Robert Indiana's LOVE sculpture! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBYMts4Vdcs

If I remember correctly, this was one of the IMA's first posting on YouTube...In fact, (I can't prove this) but I think it was inspiration for the MoMA's Serra installation video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1sBpsyRNfM.

What a riveting adventure! Very satisfying to know how the footage from the sky was captured too.

I think flying art videos might be a *choice* new category, it's up there with the time-lapse installation genre :)

Love this video from MoMA about the installation of their sculpture garden, especially Picasso's flying goat:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClGXurOVZeg

When we installed the 28 outdoor sculptures donated from the collection of Ray and Fran Stark at the Getty Museum, lots of art-flying took place via cranes. You can see a picture here:
http://www.getty.edu/art/installation_highlights/previews/outdoor_sculpture.html

Then there's the opening scene in Fellini's Dolce Vita with the flying Jesus sculpture, a parody of Christ's second coming. It's excerpted in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG9lG5XAPdo
