Hi Dale. I had the great pleasure of touring O'Keeffe's Abiquiu house a couple of years ago. We look forward to the challenges the Miller House presents and talking with you and others about conservsation strategies. I may just have to come back out to look at the house again!

Great Blog post and heartfelt congratulations to the IMA for its leadership in the preservation of this impressive piece of American Modernism! I would love to correspond with David Miller as he plans and executes the conservation & preservation of the structure and collections. Our Georgia O'Keeffe Abiquiu house furnishings were also strongly influenced by O'Keeffe's good friend Alexander Girard. In a way, the two homes may be cousins!

Thanks, John, the conversation pit seems to be everyone's favorite. Every day I work on this project is a learning experience.

Kristen, I'm glad you're excited. Besides the textiles, there is the architecture of the house, the beautiful landscaping of the grounds and hopefully much more to look forward to.

Thanks for offering a first-look at the IMA's process for integrating the Miller House into your work. I'm so excited about this acquisition, especially because of the Alexander Girard textiles associated with the home.

Congratulations!

It'd be very interesting to see how you convert a family home into a museum. Looks great already, especially with that great sunken living room!
