		<description>Jo Ellen, I don&#039;t do anything special except I do NOT cut them back. Which was something I read years ago to prevent water from getting into the crown then freezing and blowing it apart.
Chris I haven&#039;t tried &#039;Indigo Spires&#039; in a long time. I bet it has some farinacea blood in it.

		<description>For your penance, you must tell us what you do to winter over the salvias. I&#039;ve wintered over the Salvia farinacea &#039;Victoria Blue&#039; by not cutting it back, but I don&#039;t usually add any mulch to protect them.</description>
