Perennial Premiere 2011

I love hyperbole. In fact, I have been accused of intentionally ‘embroidering’ a story! In the interest of transparency, I have to admit… mea culpa. However, this next bit is NOT an exaggeration. This is THE TRUTH with no bark on it. Well, some of the story has bark on it. One part of the story will even come with snakebark.

The IMA Greenhouse Perennial Premiere is definitely the Pulitzer of Plants and the Nobel of Nature rolled into one week-end!  Whatever metric you use to define your gardening style… cottage, prairie, aquatic, native, bee -butterfly –hummingbird, to name a few; we will have loads of plants you must have, from old favorites to exciting new choices. Whether you are an experienced gardener or a newbie, our talented IMA horticulturists will be on site to answer your questions and help with your plant selections.  If you are an IMA member, you have a special opportunity to have ‘first pick’ of the plants on Saturday morning, April 16th,  from 9am – 11am, plus a double discount! If you are not already a member of the IMA, you will be able to sign up at the Perennial Premiere Membership table, and take advantage of the double discount immediately.

Partnering with the IMA for the event will be other vendors from our rich horticultural community, whom we call our Premiere Partners!  Returning will be Sundown Gardens and The Garden Center. New this year, we welcome Avon Gardens, Aquatic Design & Supply, Inc, Mark M. Holeman, Inc, Soules Garden and The Clay Pot Garden Shop, LLC. This is a perfect way to shop locally from some of your favorite garden shops and nurseries… and have them all in one place. We are also fortunate to have joining us a number of not-for-profit organizations; all of whom will be on hand to answer questions.

To add to the festival atmosphere, Nourish Café will be serving their delicious sandwiches, drinks and sweets during all hours of the event. There will be Bonsai demonstrations, a ceramic tile artist, and on Sunday…The Rusty Musket will be giving two performances of live music!
