I Has A Designz – is an IMA Flickr group that we created to see what kinds of cool designy stuff people see in their everyday lives. We’re also using it to give away tickets to European Design Since 1985. Check out the stream on the exhibition website. Oh, and the grand prize is a $100 gift certificate to the Design Center.

SXSW 2009 Music on BitTorrent – I’m missing SXSW so I’ll have to take what I can get. For those of you into music, a very nice person has bundled up all the free MP3s from the SXSW website and set up a page with links to some torrents. If you want the music but aren’t familiar with BitTorrent, know that you’ll need a little program to handle your torrents (a client) and that μTorrent is easy to set up and easy on your system.

SXSW on Twitter – There may be more, but I can confirm that at least one member of the IMA Blog team likes Twitter, Pepsi, and Visualizations. If you like any of these things you may like this interesting use of JavaScript that pulls in tweets about SXSW and displays them in a pretty way. I’m not sure how often the tweets coming through “overheard” are updated but the ones from this morning made me chuckle.

Make Something Cool Every Day – Someday I hope to have the time to make something cool every day. However, until that time in my life comes I’ve resolved to find something cool on the Internet every day. Behance does it again.

Monday Music – “Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap – Thanks to WeAllWantSomeone.org for the link.

Bent Objects – At a recent Pecha Kucha event held at Invoke Studio, I had the very fortunate opportunity to hear the very talented local photographer, Terry Border, explain his food-and-wire creations. Here’s a link to a relatively short YouTube video of Terry showing off a few pieces. And for those of you looking for a little more, a longer video from when Terry was presenting his work to a crowd in New York.

Website Grader – A cool little tool that tells you how well you’re website compares against others for things like inbound links, traffic rank, and Google PageRank. A cool piece of information that I noticed about our own site is that we have over 73,000 inbound links!

Behance Network – Is a site dedicated to “Creative Porfolios, Projects and Collaborations.” It is also a neat place to check out what the people on the Internet can come up with design wise. Here’s a standout gallery. Here is another.

Website Usability Analysis – Ever wonder why some websites feel so good? Recently, I’ve been thinking about website design and thought that this report on Apple’s site was a pretty good read. I’d be interested to know what we can borrow design wise from the Apple site. If we were ever to borrow.

European Design Facebook Contest – The week four winner has been selected. Up is the new picture.
