A Blogger’s Bucket List

I’m excited yet sad to say this will be my last IMA Blog post, for the foreseeable future. (If you haven’t noticed, most of us find it hard to stay away.) I’ll be transitioning into the world of motherhood and all things baby. Writing for this blog has been my outlet for creative energies and personal interests. But I didn’t get to share all of the intriguing, amusing, and strange ideas I’ve archived over the years. Three is a Magic Number

If you happen to be at the Indianapolis Museum of Art later today, say 5pm, you’ll have a chance of discovering Bloggers Anonymous.  It’s our third event of BA, and something pretty different from what we typically do regarding technology.  We’re actually meeting people face-to-face.  At the IMA, we kind of dig technology and spend a lot of time developing digital projects, like this blog, ArtBabble, TAP and a million other things.  We really love our work, but I guess there would be one draw back to what we do.

Hello, my name is Kate… and I’m a social media addict. I blog, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr…you name it. Whew. I feel better.

Lucky for me, social media has become an integral part of the way museums create an interactive experience for the museum visitor, especially here at the IMA.

That said, we at the IMA would like to invite all our blog readers and fellow bloggers to peel your eyes from the computer screens for one night, and put a face to the local blogs you love to read. (Don’t worry, we’ll have wi-fi so you can live-blog and tweet to your heart’s content!)
