In China, men would carry a small piece of jade in a pocket, because the extreme hardness of the stone is often associated with immortality. Tour To Live Forever: Egyptian Treasures from the Brooklyn Museum and other IMA galleries to discover the ways in which many cultures view the concept of immortality.
