Join the IMA’s Asian Art Society for an evening with speaker James Keating as he shares stories from his 25 years living in Japan and several of his favorite antique bamboo baskets from his outstanding collection. Keating’s pursuit of art began after marrying his wife Noriko in Tokyo. Together they have collected more than 100 baskets and countless other Japanese art pieces. Keating is a writer and editorial consultant in Lafayette, Indiana and author of Writing Modern English, a handbook for writers of English as a second language.
