Christmas at Lilly House

Trees, wreaths, garlands, luminaries and lights have been the beacons of holiday cheer for generations in American households. This Christmas, visit Lilly House to see how yuletide evergreens, fruiting plants and lights were incorporated into 1930s and ‘40s home décor to minimize the feel of Depression frugality and wartime shortages. See the whimsy, and sometimes playful, Christmas decorations and modernist design of a bygone era that compliment the beauty of this historic home. Come for one of the Open Houses to explore Lilly House in all its Christmas finery, hear music of the season, and enjoy for a hot beverage after seeing Lilly House gardens transformed by hundreds of luminaries into a winter wonderland.
Open Houses:
Thursdays, December 4 & 18
