In the four years since filmmaker Chris Paine released the documentary Who Killed the Electric Car?, electric vehicles have been revived. In that film, Paine documented the corporate leaders, government officials and consumers who embraced SUVs over electric cars, exploring the larger story of our car culture in the process. Paine is back with a new film in the works: The Revenge of the Electric Car, set for release in 2011. As part of Planet Indy series, spend an evening with Paine.

Gardeners can foster biodiversity simply by choosing to plant more natives. This is Dr. Doug Tallamy’s simple but powerful message. In his eye-opening book, Bringing Nature Home: How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens, Tallamy, Professor and Chair of the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware, shows how life does depend on what we plant in our backyards. Join Tallamy as he discusses how healthy wildlife populations are directly dependent on native plants and the steps gardeners can take to increase biodiversity in their own yards.
