Basic Landscape Design in Two Sessions
Adult Lecture Room A
Note: This is a 2-part class.
This class meets on both Saturday, April 10 and Saturday, April 17.
Landscape design is not rocket science, but it is more than just drawing circles and squiggles on paper. IMA horticulturist Geoff Von Burg will present some basic ideas and rules to help you feel comfortable with your project, including best sites for trees and beds, how to frame and screen views, the best use of areas, and when to call for a professional. Bring your sketches, photos and questions. Photos and questions submitted in advance for use as anonymous examples are appreciated. Send to Geoff Von Burg. The first class session will be instructional and includes a tour of Oldfields. The second session will provide time to review designs, answer questions, and tour the IMA’s newly planted landscape. Class size limited to 20.
