麗春花
The inscription reads: “The Liqun flower (poppy) is called ‘Lady Yu’ by the people of Wu (Suzhou in Jiangsu province). It dances with the wind charmingly and gracefully, and therefore it is given the name of the famous beauty. It is not an easy thing to paint this flower!”
Robert J. Shula; given to the Indianapolis Museum of Art in 1977.
