Tsuchiya Rakusan Rakusan was born 土屋浩三 Tsuchiya Kouzou, and occasionally used that name in his role as a printer and publisher. After his apprenticeship with the great Kyoto artist Takeuchi Seiho (1864-1942), Rakusan also assumed the art name 篁子生 Koushisei. This print is the first in a series of 100 in an album titled Rakusan Bird and Flower Album (Rakusan kachō gafu). It is from the second edition.
