Trulla, having rallied the mob, turns the tables on Hudibras. The crowd wishes to thrash him soundly, but Trulla, with Hudibras’s sword in hand, thwarts them since she had promised him quarter. She has a more fitting punishment in mind.

Purchased with money from the John Herron Fund for the John Herron Art Institute, now the Indianapolis Museum of Art, in 1911.
