The self-inscription reads:
紅暈芳姿酒未消・腰圍金帶曉風飄・花田今日邀頭會・仿佛揚州廿四橋。
丙戌秋日為少翁仁兄法家正弟居廉
With red flushed face and fragrant figure, it seems that she is still drunk
The golden belt on her waist wafts in the morning breeze
Today, an invitation to gather is sent from the flower field
It is reminiscent of the “Twenty-four Bridge” in Yangzhou
Autumn of the Bingxu year (1886). Created for my respectable brother, Shaoweng. Your brother , Ju Lian.
Given by artist to Mr. Shaoweng {1}. Purchased by the Alliance of the Indianapolis Museum of Art; given to the Indianapolis Museum of Art in 1973.
