Founded in 1972, the Horticultural Society is the IMA‘s special interest group for its grounds and gardens and offers its members opportunities to share gardening experience and expertise. The Horticultural Society also maintains an extensive horticultural library, located on the lower level of Garden Terrace. Horticultural Society members enjoy:

• Lectures featuring speakers of local, national and international note
• Travel opportunities to noted gardens throughout the US and abroad
• Opportunities to volunteer in the IMA gardens, greenhouse, and the Horticultural Society Library
