A Collection of Paintings by Hermann Dudley Murphy

38 numbers -- Hermann Dudley Murphy was born at Marlboro, Massachusetts in 1867. He studied at the school of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and at the Academie Julian, Paris, under Jean Paul Laurens. He was awarded a bronze medal at the Pan-American Exposition, Buffalo, 1901; a silver medal for oil painting, and a bronze medal for water color at the Universal Exposition, St. Louis, 1904. He is a member fo the Copley Society, Boston, and the New York Watercolor Club.
