French Art Lent by Luxembourg Museum of Paris
This collection was selected from the Luxembourg Gallery in Paris primarily to represent French art of the last fifty years at the Panama-Pacific Exposition at San Francisco. While portraits predominated, figure, genre and landscape subjects were amply represented. In addition to the paintings were 93 medals and five bronzes, representing 15 artists. Some exhibiting artists: Eugene Boudin, Paul Cezanne, Jules-Elie Delauney, Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Gustave Moreau, Camille Pissarro, Pierre A. Renoir, and James Tissot.
