J. H. Sharp was formerly connected as instructor with the school of the Cincinnati Museum of Fine Arts. He spent a long period of study with Frank Duveneck in Italy and Spain. Many of his paintings are preserved at the Smithsonian Institute at Washington, D. C. and at the University of California. Brochure states the beginning date as: 05/02/1908
