The Viewing Project: Edward Hopper’s Hotel Lobby and Hollis Sigler’s She Will Move Away Someday American Scene Gallery

Two indoor scenes – evoking different moods, painted in different styles and raising very different questions – make an interesting comparison. Though the titles of these two paintings function differently, both leave questions unanswered. Viewing these two paintings together helped us enjoy each of them more. We hope visitors find it interesting to consider them side-by-side.
