Arik Levy

Arik Levy’s work encompasses furniture, installations, and interior and product design. His many clients include Baccarat, Baleri Italia, Belux, Desalto, Ligne-Roset, Materialise.MGX, Vitra, Vizona, and Zanotta. He has received numerous honors, including Seiko Epson’s International Art Center Award (in 1991); Movement Français de la Qualité, Les Affiches pour la Qualité 97 (1997); the Design Plus award, for the Seed porcelain lamp (1999); the Grand Prix International de la Critique, Salon du Meuble, Paris, for the Cloud lamp (1999); the VIA (French Furniture Association) Label award (1999–2001) and the VIA Carte Blanche grant (2000); Best of Category, L’Express magazine, for a lamp (2000); the IF Product Design Award (2000); and the George Nelson Award, Interiors magazine (2001). Recent awards include the Observeur du Design from the APCI (Agency for the Promotion and Creation of Industrial Design; 2002); the Interior Innovation Award, “Best of the Best,” at IMM Cologne (2003 and 2005); the Design Plus award (2006); the Janus de l’Industrie (2007); and Designer of the Year at the Elle Decoration International Design Awards (2008).
