Christian Flindt

Christian Flindt’s work, which includes furniture, lighting, and product
design, is self-produced and available through his website. In 2003, Flindt was awarded a travel grant to Japan for the IDEE Design Competition, and a three-month working grant, from the State Workshop for Art/Design, to develop a new stacking chair. He also received grants in successive years from the Statens Kunst Fond in Denmark and the Danish National Bank. In 2005, he received Bo Bedre magazine’s Design Award, for the world’s first side-stacking chair. More recently, in 2006, he was named Bo Bedre’s Designer of the Year, and, in 2007, won Bolig Magasinet’s Best Design award, for Orchid. In 2008, he was nominated for the Forum AID Award, for his Flindt Lamps series for Louis Poulsen Lighting.
