Johan Verde

Johan Verde’s work includes ceramics, furniture, glass, metalwork, and product design, for such clients as Diplomis, Figgjo, Fora Form, Magnor Glassverk, Nidar, and Stokkegruppen. He has received numerous awards, including the Young Talent Award from the Norwegian Design Council for Utensils (in 1991); the Norwegian Design Award from the Norwegian Design Council for the Jøtul stove (1992) and Åsnes skis (1993); first prize in the National Design Competition and a Norwegian Design Award for Canteen (1996); and the Norwegian Design Award for Vase (1997). In 1999, Verde received the Norsk Form award for young designers. In 2002, his Loop lounge chair won the Norwegian Design Award.
