Tord Boontje

Tord Boontje’s work ranges from installations to furniture, glass, and product design. It is produced by himself, as well as by Artecnica, Moroso, Philips, and Swarovski. Boontje has received numerous design awards. These include the Bombay Sapphire Prize for glass design (awarded in 2002); nomination, Designer of the Year, Design Museum, London (2003); Designer of the Year, Elle Decoration (2003); Best Lighting Design, Elle Decoration, for Garland light (2003); Reader’s Choice for Future Classic, Elle Decoration, also for Garland light (2003); Best Product, New York Gift Fair, for Midsummer light (2004); the Dedalus Design Award (2004); Best Lighting Design, Elle Decoration International Design Awards, for Blossom chandelier (2004); the Interior Innovation Award, IMM Cologne (2005); Dutch Designer of the Year (2005); the iF Product Design Award, for Table Stories (2006); and the Red Dot Design Award, for Little Field of Flowers (2007).
