Although primarily an architect, Zaha Hadid also designs furniture and interiors; her clients include Sawaya & Moroni. Hadid has received several honors over the years, including a CBE in 2002 and, in 2003, the Mies van der Rohe Award for Contemporary Architecture, for the Honheim-Nord Terminus. In 2004, she was named as the Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate; the following year, she became a Member of the Royal Academy of Arts, and was shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize. Hadid won the American Institute of Architects/UK Award in 2006, for Maggie’s Centre, and, in 2007, received the Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medal in Architecture.
