Laarman is a ceramics, furniture, installations, metalwork, and product designer, whose clients
include Artecnica, Droog Design, FLOS, and Swarovski; he also produces his own designs. In 2004, Laarman received the Young Designer of the Year award from Wallpaper* magazine, and the Interior Innovation Award at IMM Cologne. Other honors include the Red Dot Design Award (received in 2006); the Woon Award (2007); and Talent of the Year at the Elle Decoration
International Design Awards (2008).
