Martin Szekely
Martin Szekely’s work includes ceramics, furniture, glass, interior design, metalwork, and product design, for such clients as Bernardaud, Christofle, Galerie Neotu, Hermès, and Roger & Gallet. He has received various awards: a Carte Blanche grant from the VIA (French Furniture Association) in 1983; the Agora Award in 1984; Creator of the Year at the Salon du Meuble, Paris, in 1987; and a first prize from French art critics and the VIA in 1988. In 1999, he was honored with the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, and received the Alfred Dunhill prize, “Homme Remarquable de l’Année.” In 2003, he was awarded the Talent d’Or at Le Sommet du Luxe et de la Création, Paris.
