Arad's work ranges from architecture and furniture to product design. His clients include Gallery Mourmans, Kartell, Moroso, One Off, the Ron Arad Studio, and Vitra. Arad has achieved considerable international success. In 1994, he was named Creator of the Year at the Salon du Meuble, paris. In 1999, he received the Design Plus award and the Baden-Wurttemberg International Design Award. The year 2001 was particularly prolific: he was co-winner of the Perrier-Jouet Selfridges Design Award, and winner of the Primavera International Award for Design, the Gio Ponti International Design Award and the Oribe Art and Design Award. In 2004, Arad was named Designer of the Year by Architektur & Wohnen magazine; a year later, he was named Designer of the Year in the FX Awards. Additional awards received include the Jerusalem Prize for Arts & Letters in 2006; the Visionaries! Award, presented by the Museum of Arts and Design, New York, also in 2006; and the Contemporary Art Prize, presented by the French Friends of the Tel Aviv Mnuseum of Art, Paris, in 2007.
